AMMP/AMIP - Maintain Scheduling Sequences

Purpose

This screen is used to establish meeting sequences for courses and finals, which combine begin and end times and day of the week, at a specific location. Each campus Registrar will create this screen for their campus if they intend to schedule courses into classrooms.

Screen Functions

View an existing scheduling period/sequence for courses and finals

  1. At SEM, enter either SP, SU, or FA
  2. At LOCATION, enter location
  3. At PERIOD, enter a period number
  4. Press ENTER

Add a scheduling period/sequence for courses and finals

  1. At ACTN, enter A
  2. At SEM, enter either SP, SU, or FA
  3. At LOCATION, enter campus location
  4. At PERIOD, enter a period number
  5. At BEG TIME, enter begin time of period
  6. At END TIME, enter end time of period
  7. At TYPE, enter either S, D, T, or Q
  8. At VALID MEETING DAYS, enter meeting day or day combinations
  9. At STND, enter either Y or N to indicate if this is a standard meeting sequence
  10. Press ENTER
  11. PF12 to update

  1. At SEM, enter either SP, SU, or FA
  2. At LOCATION, enter campus location
  3. At PERIOD, enter a period number
  4. Press ENTER

Change an existing scheduling period/sequence for courses and finals

  1. At SEM, enter either SP, SU, or FA
  2. At LOCATION, enter campus location
  3. At PERIOD, enter a period number
  4. Press ENTER
  5. At ACTN, enter C
  6. Make all necessary changes to field(s)
  7. Press ENTER
  8. PF12 to update

Delete an entire scheduling period/sequence for courses and finals

  1. At SEM, enter either SP, SU, or FA
  2. At LOCATION, enter campus location
  3. At PERIOD, enter a period number
  4. Press ENTER
  5. At ACTN, enter D
  6. Press ENTER
  7. PF12 to update

Additional Field Level Detail

ACTN
Identifies the function to be performed:
A - Add/create original record
C - Change an existing record
D - Delete entire record
S - Skip to an existing record
SEM Generic field which identifies the semester (ex: SP, SU, FA)
LOCATION Campus location (CLOCN or CCRSELOC)
PERIOD A unique number assigned to a specific instructional meeting time
BEG TIME Begin time for a period. Data format = ####A (a.m.) or ####P (p.m.)
END TIME End for a period. Data format = ####A (a.m.) or ####P (p.m.)
TYPE
Indicates if period is:
S - single (one 50-minute or 75-minute periods)
D - double (two consecutive 50-minute periods)
T - triple (three consecutive 50-minute periods)
Q - quad (four consecutive 50-minute periods)
VALID MEETING DAYS Valid meeting day and day combinations for the listed begin/end time
STND
Indicated if meeting days equal a standard sequence:
Y - yes
N - no
