ARIRP - Drop/Add Processing Dates

Purpose

This screen is used to calculate the deadline date for adding, dropping or late dropping a course. The calculations are based on entering the beginning and ending dates for the course in question. The date entered must be within six months of the corresponding begin/end dates of the semester as shown on screen AMMU.

Screen Functions

Calculate add, drop and late drop deadline dates

  1. At SEM, enter the semester the course is offered
  2. At CAMPUS, enter the campus abbreviation at which the course is offered
  3. At IF A COURSE BEGINS ON, enter the course begin date
  4. At AND ENDS ON, enter the course and date
  5. Press ENTER
Notes:
  • DROP/Add PERIOD ENDS ON: deadline date is determined by adding the calculated 'number of days' for the drop/add period to the begin date of the course, not including University holidays.
  • LATE DROP PERIOD ENDS ON: deadline date is determined by adding the calculated 'number of days' for the late drop period to the begin date of the course, not including University holidays.
  • NUMBER OF DAYS: for full and part semester courses the formula for calculating the 'drop/add period ends on' is (10 X number of class days) / 105 rounded to the nearest integer.
    For full and part semester courses the formula for calculating the 'late drop period ends on' is (84 X number of class days) / 105 rounded to the nearest integer.
