ARURD - Departmental Drop, Add or Section Change

Purpose

This screen is used by departments to enroll students into courses or drop students from courses and to print a copy of a student's schedule.

Screen Functions

View student's current schedule

  1. At STUDENT ID, enter student identification number
  2. At SEM, enter semester you wish to view
  3. At PAC, enter student's personal access code or press PF5 to override
  4. Press ENTER

Add a course

  1. At STUDENT ID, enter student identification number
  2. At SEM, enter semester you wish to view
  3. PAC will appear, enter student's personal access code or press PF5 to override
  4. Press ENTER
  5. At ACT, enter A
  6. At SCHED NUMB, enter the requested schedule number
  7. Press ENTER
  8. 'Complete Schedule' message will appear, press PF12 to update
  9. If course is full, press PF9 for alternate section scheduling
Notes:
Certain conditions may be overridden by entering Y in the OVR field. (ex: if course is full).
Before overriding a course be sure it does not cause a time conflict.
You are permitted to add courses for your department only.
Late added courses will be charged a late fee.

Drop a course

  1. At STUDENT ID, enter student identification number
  2. At SEM, enter semester you wish to view
  3. PAC will appear, enter student's personal access code or press PF5 to override
  4. Press ENTER
  5. Enter D in the ACT field beside the course you wish to drop
  6. Press ENTER
  7. 'Complete Schedule' message will appear, press PF12 to update
Notes:
Courses marked with dishonesty, indicated with a Y in the ACT field on the right side of screen can not be dropped.
If the student only has one course, the student must withdrawal.
You are permitted to drop courses for your department only.
Late dropped courses will be charged a late fee and late drop credits.

Section changes

  1. At STUDENT ID, enter student identification number
  2. At SEM, enter semester you wish to view
  3. PAC will appear, enter student's personal access code or press PF5 to override
  4. Press ENTER
  5. Tab to the first blank line and enter a C in the ACT field
  6. Enter the schedule number of the new section in the SCHED NUMB field
  7. Press ENTER
  8. 'Complete Schedule' message will appear, press PF12 to update
Notes:
The original section will be recorded as SOUT.
New section will be recorded as REGSIN.

Print student's schedule

  1. At STUDENT ID, enter student identification number
  2. At SEM, enter semester you wish to view
  3. PAC will appear, enter student's personal access code or press PF5 to override
  4. Press ENTER
  5. PF11 to print schedule
Note:
If there is no default printer ID, enter Y in the HC field and a printer number in the PRNT field, press PF11.

Blank - No intent to graduate filed
Y -Student indicated an intent to graduate

Blank - Bill has not been sent
N - Bill was sent, bill is not yet due, and has not been paid
Y - Bill is paid
O - Bill due date has passed, and is overdue
HD
Hold Indicator
Blank - No hold
Y - Student has one or more holds
EXT DATE This field is not used anymore
PAC Personal access code (ex: XXXX)
REG CRDTS Credits completed (If you are checking credits for future registration purposes, PF5, system adds current semester credits to the total credits completed.)
PART-TIME
Part-Time Indicator
Y - Student has requested to be billed as a part-time student (per credit hours)
N - Over 12 credits being taken
HC
Hard Copy Indicator
N - Do not print schedule after update
Y - Print a schedule after the update
PRNT Printer number were schedule is to print (ex: 1234)
ACT
Course action indicator
A - Add a course
C - Section change
D - Drop a course
SCH NO Six digit course schedule number
STATUS Student's enrollment status in this course
COURSE Course abbreviation and number
SEC Course section number
HNRS
Honors option indicator
Y - Course is being taken for honors option
N - Honors option was removed
CR Course credits (default value for fixed credits unless it is a variable credit, then credit must be enter)
LOC Campus location (CLOCN or CCRSELOC)
DEL Course delivery (CMETHDEL)
ACT
Action Indicator
A - Student is enrolled for audit
U - Student is enrolled for satisfactory/unsatisfactory
Y - Student has a dishonesty flag
OVR
Override Indicator
Blank - No system override
Y - Operator has overridden all applicable course edits

Function Keys

ENTER Brings up record, invokes all edits
PF5 Overrides personal access code
PF9 Alternate section scheduling
PF11 Print schedule
PF12 Invodes all edits and updates
