
Allow Credits from Math 110 and Math 140 to Count Towards Degree Requirements (CS)
This action removes the restriction from Math 110 and Math 140 and allows the credits from both courses to count towards degree requirements.
Step 1: Fill in the required fields:
- Course Taken By Student - enter the course abbreviation
and number of the course that has zero credits in the Name and Number fields (the course with the >Z behind the grade on the degree audit).
- Substituted For - enter the course abbreviation and number of the course that has zero credits in the Name and Number fields (the same course that was entered in the Course Taken By Student fields).
- AC - enter a V (must be uppercase).
Step 2: Fill in the optional fields, if
desired:
- Semester Taken - enter the semester the course was taken by the student. This field is only needed if there are two or more occurrences of the course on the student's academic record.
- Message Displayed on Audit - describe the exception (27 characters). This message will be displayed on the view/modify exception screen and on the audit in the subrequirement where the exception is being applied.
- Date Authorized - defaults to the current date. You can change the date in this field if needed.
- Notes: (not displayed on audit) - text field for comments about the exception (150 characters). Anyone viewing the exception can see these notes. This field is NOT displayed on the audit.
Step 3: Save the exception:
Confirmation message will display that exception was added.
Step 4: Scroll down to the end of the page to:
- Enter another exception for this student - select "Back to Exception List."
- Add another exception for this student but in a different program - select "Back to Program List."
- Enter an exception for a different student - select "Choose New Student."
- To request a degree audit for this student - select the ERISDN link in the left-frame menu.
