
Requirement Completed (RC)
This action allows the completion status to be activated for
a subrequirement without courses being used. For instance, if you have a requirement
or subrequirement where only ONE course is needed to be fulfilled, use an RC.
Typical categories to use an RC exception code would be the Writing Across
the Curriculum requirement, the United States Cultures and International Cultures
requirement, College Laboratory requirements, and General Education/Major/Minor
requirements where only ONE course is needed in a subrequirement.
WARNING: Do not use
this exception type if the subrequirement contains more than one course to
be fulfilled.
Step 1: Fill in the required fields:
- Subrequirement Title - choose the title
of the subrequirement to complete. The title line of the subrequirement is
displayed in this field.
Step 2: Fill in the optional fields, if desired:
- Remove Degree/Major Restriction - when an exception is entered, it only applies to the program on which it was entered. By checking this box, the specific program information will be removed from the exception.
- Date Authorized - defaults to the current
date. This is an updateable field so the date can be changed if needed.
- Notes: (Not displayed on audit) - text field for comments
about the exception (150 characters). Anyone viewing the exception can see
the notes. This field is NOT displayed on the audit.
Step 3: Save the exception:
Additional Field:
- Message Displayed on Audit - this is
a preset message that will display on the audit (SUB-REQUIREMENT COMPLETE)
in the subrequirement where the exception is being applied.
Confirmation message will display that exception was added.
Step 4: Scroll down to the end of the page to:
- Enter another exception for a this student - select "Back
to Exception List."
- Add another exception for this student in a different program - select "Back to Program List."
- Enter an exception for a different student - select "Choose
New Student."
- Request a degree audit for this student - select the ERISDN link in the
left-frame menu.
