Academic exception processing is a mechanism in the Degree Audit System to record approved academic exceptions for an individual student's program of study so that accurate information can be displayed in the degree audit reports produced for advising and graduation activities and to provide a data source for future course and enrollment planning activities.

eISIS screen paths are provided to appropriate offices for recording these individual academic exceptions. The college deans' offices or the academic department offices, if delegated by the dean, are responsible for entering academic exceptions into the Degree Audit System via screen ERUSDH. These student specific exceptions are then reflected on the degree audit reports produced for the student.

The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for training college and department personnel in the proper use of the eISIS screen for academic exception processing. Contact the Academic Records Department at 814-865-3051 for group or individual training sessions or to report any problems with the screens.
