Understanding LionPATH Wait Lists

August 21, 2017 -- In LionPATH, if a course is full, students can choose to add themselves to the course Wait List in order to be automatically added to the course if a seat opens. Once on a wait list, a student no longer needs to continuously check the course for an opening. Instead, if a seat becomes available, the student at the top of the Wait List is automatically enrolled in the class, and everyone else on the list moves up a spot. As more seats become available, students will continue to be automatically added to the class when their turn on the Wait List comes.

Wait Lists for courses scheduled during the current semester are available and run through the last day of the Regular Drop period. For example, the last day the Wait Lists will run for Fall 2017 courses is Aug. 26, 2017. Due to the automatic enrollment function of the Wait Lists, students should monitor the classes they add to their Wait Lists and remove courses they no longer wish to be enrolled in.
