ARUAS - GPA Scheduling Priorities
Purpose
This screen is used to establish the dates when departments may assign
classrooms for courses and events for a specific semester and location.
This screen may only be updated by Registrar personnel at each location.

| TECHNOLOGY
COURSES |
First date departments
may schedule general purpose technology classrooms for technology
courses. (a technology code must appear in tech code field
on screen ARUAC) based on room utilization (class limit vs
room capacity).
Registrar may specify three different room utilization/date combinations.
If two or more combinations are entered, the second or third room utilization
rate and begin date must be later than the one before it.

First date department
may schedule general purpose classrooms for courses that meet
during a standard sequence based on room utilization (class
limit vs room capacity).
Standard sequences are defined as on of the following:
MWF 50-minute period, same
period
TR 75-minute period, same period
Any four weekdays (MTWRF),
same 50-minute period
Registrar may specify three different room utilization/date combinations.
If two or more combinations are entered, the second or third utilization
rate and begin date must be later than the one before.

A non-standard sequence is anything other than:

date departments may schedule non-course events into general purpose student technology
classrooms (computer labs) for occasional use.
First date departments may make requests to the Registrar's Office to schedule
general purpose classrooms for weekend events. |

date departments may schedule general purpose classrooms for weekday evening events
(MTWRF) beginning after 0530p). |
| DAYTIME
EVENTS |
First
date departments may schedule general purpose classrooms for weekday daytime events
(MTWRF 0800a-0530p). |
| SOC
PUBLICATION |
The
date on which the Schedule of Courses becomes available on the
Web. After this date, department users will not be able to decrease
limits or drop courses/section. They must submit the electronic
form, 'Decrease Drop or Underenrollment Drop' to their
dean. |
