Final ISIS to LionPATH Sync

August 17, 2016 -- Due to the work required to complete the transition to LionPATH, there is no ideal time to do a final synchronization with ISIS. The time period was chosen in order to limit the amount of dual entry of student data in both ISIS and LionPATH systems. We understand the disruption, and thank you in advance for your assistance.

What is the end-of-sync?

The final synchronization of student information from ISIS to LionPATH, including historical changes and current and future major and campus changes. After August 28, 2016, the official system of record will be LionPATH. ISIS will effectively be frozen.

When will the final sync process occur?

The last regular sync process will begin Saturday, August 20 at 10:00 p.m., and will end on Sunday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m. Between these times, students will not be able to access LionPATH. A final update of summer grades and graduation will occur on August 27 and 28. During this update, students will not be able to access LionPATH on August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

What are the impacts?

  • Final grade reporting for the summer semester will be one day earlier: Thursday, August 18 at 5:00 p.m. instead of Friday, August 19.
  • Summer grade changes can be processed via eLion from Friday, August 19 until Friday, August 26 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Final updates in ISIS must be completed no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 19.
  • Departmental and college update access in ISIS will be removed at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19. (You will still be able to view data, but not update.)
  • The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) will continue to update student academic data. They will enter data into both ISIS and LionPATH from Monday, August 22 through Friday, August 26. OUR will send out information on how units can request the following types of updates:
    • Change of campus
    • Change of major, including requirement term and addition of new majors, minors, options and certificates
    • Grade changes for past semesters
  • Fall enrollment will continue through the normal drop/add period in LionPATH with the drop deadline as August 27, and the add deadline as August 28.
  • Beginning Monday, August 29, LionPATH will be the official system for all student data for all semesters.
  • View access to ISIS will begin to be limited with further removals as we move further into the LionPATH implementation.
  • Advisers, faculty and other units assisting students with their fall schedule of classes should be aware that for many recipients of federal and state student aid programs, a completed schedule of fall courses is essential by the end of the regular drop/add period. Aid awards will be determined based on a student's enrolled credits as of the end of drop/add. The amount of the award cannot be adjusted up or down based on changes to credit hours made after the end of the regular drop/add period.

PLEASE NOTE: all new nondegree and approved reenrollments must be entered in ISIS by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19.
