FERPA Tutorial and Quiz Available in the Learning Resource Network

November 1, 2017 -- The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Tutorial and Quiz for faculty and staff has been moved to the Learning Resource Network.

To access the tutorial, please go to the LRN website.

1. Log in using your Penn State Web Access credentials. The LRN utilizes DUO 2-factor authentication.
2. Using the LRN search feature, enter “FERPA” in the Keyword Search box and click enter.
3. Select the "FERPA Tutorial & Quiz" icon.
4. Select “Request” to begin the FERPA Tutorial.
5. After reading through all of the modules, you will be prompted to select the "FERPA Quiz" to test your knowledge on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

FERPA is a federal law that governs how we protect and disclose student educational records. As a recipient of federal funding, Penn State is obligated to comply with FERPA. The FERPA Tutorial and Quiz is designed to assist University faculty and staff in understanding FERPA and its impact on their professional responsibilities.
