The Office of the University Registrar will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday break from Thursday, November 24, 2022 through Sunday, November 27, 2022. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. (EST) on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Individuals can apply to enroll at Penn State as degree-seeking or nondegree students, and as full-time or part-time students.
A student's reported enrollment status is calculated based on the student's total number of enrolled credits for the semester.
A degree candidate's semester classification is based on the total number of credits earned.
The two categories of nondegree enrollment are nondegree regular and nondegree conditional.
Understand the policies, processes, and impacts of leaving the University through registration cancellation, leave of absence, or withdrawal.
If progress toward a degree has been interrupted, students may apply to return to Penn State through re-enrollment or academic renewal.
