Introducing New Certified Electronic Diplomas

Beginning June 2020, Penn State graduates can purchase a Certified Electronic Diploma (CeDiploma), in addition to receiving the traditional paper diploma issued after degree conferral.

A CeDiploma is available to graduates of the spring 2020 class and forward.

Confidentiality & FERPA

The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 identifies the rights of students and their families with respect to student educational records kept by institutions. As part of the requirements of FERPA, the University has a Policy on Confidentiality of Student Records to ensure that student record information, including grades, course schedule, and academic progress, remains private.
