The Office of the University Registrar will be closed for Winter Break, beginning at 4:30 p.m. (EST) on Dec. 23, 2025. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. (EST) on Jan. 5, 2026.

Please note: many transcript orders placed via Parchment will be fulfilled automatically, but paper transcript orders, and any orders requiring manual review by Registrar staff, will be processed in the order received when the University reopens on Jan. 5, 2026. Requests for reissued diplomas, minor certificates, and certificates must be received by Dec. 16 in order to be processed before the end of this year.

Order a Transcript

An official transcript is the University's certified statement of a student's academic record. Learn how to order an official paper or electronic transcript from Penn State.

Enrollment Verifications

Enrollment verifications provide confirmation of enrollment status, dates of attendance, and degree(s) conferred. Verification services are available to former students to confirm this information to insurers, lenders, employers, and other organizations.

Reissued Diplomas and Certificates

Alumni may request a reissued diploma, minor certificate, or certificate by submitting the appropriate replacement form with the necessary proof of identification and fee.

Returning to the University

Students on leave who wish to return to Penn State to resume their studies can submit a request to re-enroll at the University. The student's previous enrollment status determines the appropriate process for re-enrollment.

Understand Student Confidentiality/FERPA

The University's responsibility to protect the privacy of student records continues even after a student leaves Penn State. Request to withhold directory information stay in place until the student signs and submits a request to remove the action of withholding directory information.

Changes to Personal Information

Requests to change name, Social Security number, gender, ethnicity and race on your academic record must be submitted to the Office of the University Registrar.
