The Office of the University Registrar will be closed for Winter Break, beginning at 4:30 p.m. (EST) on Dec. 23, 2025. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. (EST) on Jan. 5, 2026.

Please note: many transcript orders placed via Parchment will be fulfilled automatically, but paper transcript orders, and any orders requiring manual review by Registrar staff, will be processed in the order received when the University reopens on Jan. 5, 2026. Requests for reissued diplomas, minor certificates, and certificates must be received by Dec. 16 in order to be processed before the end of this year.

Registration

Registration is the process by which students enroll in courses for a given semester. Below is information on how and when to register for courses, and what classes are available. Students are encouraged to consult with their academic adviser before completing any registration activity.

Once registration is complete, students can still add, drop, or audit courses for a limited time after the semester begins.

Enforced Prerequisites

Prerequisite requirements are enforced during the course registration process. Students who do not meet the prerequisites for a course will not be able to register for that course.

Late Registration

Registrations that occur after the regular add period are classified as late registrations and apply certain conditions to students who register late.

Multiple Campus Registration

Students can enroll in courses at both their assigned home-campus and additional campuses during the same semester with permission from the non-home campuses.

Retroactive Registration

Retroactive registration is only available for semesters prior to Fall 2016. A Faculty Senate petition is now required.

In recognition of those who service in the military, the University offers priority registration and red, white, and blue honor cord recognition at graduation.
